Phewa Lake and the Peace Pagoda
Row across the lake, climb to the white stupa above it.
Phewa is the lake at the centre of Pokhara, and the best way onto it is the old way, in a hand-rowed wooden boat. We cross to the quiet far shore and walk up through forest to the Peace Pagoda, a white stupa that looks back over the whole valley.
An easy half day, but the view from the pagoda is the one people remember.
