Kathmandu Valley Heritage Tour

Seven World Heritage sites in two unhurried days.

The Kathmandu Valley holds one of the densest concentrations of living heritage anywhere: three medieval royal cities, the great stupas of Boudhanath and Swayambhunath, and the riverside temples of Pashupatinath, all within an hour of each other.

Taken over two days with a guide who knows the stories, it is a world away from the mountains, and the natural bookend to a trek that starts or ends in Kathmandu.

Highlights
  • Bhaktapur and Patan durbar squares
  • Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world
  • Swayambhunath, the hilltop monkey temple
  • Pashupatinath on the sacred Bagmati river
